My Sh*t List

What the girls told me and I thought “Ha, that will NEVER happen to me.”

Or what they told me and it just did not work.

1.       Sleep When She Sleeps. Sometimes, it just didn’t happen. Sometimes, you just wanted to curl up on the couch and play on the iPad watching old episodes of Friends. Sometimes you wanted to drink wine and work on the computer. Sometimes you just wanted to be awake during the day…and be you! Early morning, sleep. Later at night, sleep. It was too hard for me during the day, and I have been the QUEEN of naps for years. Sleep when you can and want to.

2.      Pee before you start a feeding. I think my little boo boo was going on 2 weeks old. It was 12:30am, the milk truck arrived,  and away we went. About 30 seconds into the feeding, I realized I had not gone to the bathroom since 5:30pm that evening. Jesus, Mary and Joseph was my food a’tappin’. Eventually, down Norah Boo went into her bouncy chair and Mama ran to the bathroom. Middle of the night, screaming baby, greasy hair, disgusting pjs and a solid 3-4 minute pee…”this has gotta be the good life.”

3.      Ask the husband for SPECIFIC help with SPECIFIC things you need. Well, pretty self-explanatory.

4.      PJ’s. You need an infinite amount of pjs that make you feel “good”…I went through at least 2 pair a day, on a good day. I lived in them for about 2-3 weeks.

5.      It’s ok if you brush your teeth with mouthwash. (And various other shortcuts) Until hers was about 3-4 weeks old, it was a mouthwash brushing in the morning before (or after, or at 3pm in the afternoon) that 5am feed and a baby powder shower at night. (Now that I’ve gone back to work nothing has really changed. Don’t judge me.) I remember looking in the mirror one day and remembering “Oh, I have eyebrows.” Who the hell forgets they have eyebrows?! This chick. Do what you can, when you can, with what you have. Mascara works wonders on Mommy Eyes. (Similar to "wine eyes.)

6.      Figure sh*t out, Make sh*t up. My new life motto. If one thing isn’t working, try something else. If that doesn’t work, make up something that does.  The kid will eventually calm down. If not, call your Mom.

7.      Have a way for quick coffee and quick snacks . Oh look at me all high and mighty “I’m not drinking caffeine while feeding the baby, blah blah blah.” Well let me tell you…the morning I switched back to regular coffee from a QUICK coffee maker was AH-MAH-ZING. I got so much stuff done around this place and was a happy camper. Caffeine is your friend with an infant. So are quick snacks. My sisters brought a picnic basket full of gourmet cookies that looked like “picnic items”. For example: a mustard bottle, a hot dog, a hamburger, etc. So, they would get fun texts:

- 2:30am, “Just ate the mustard.”

-4:45am, “Hamburger gone.”

-6:30am, “Half a hotdog”

You get the idea. Good Part: easy snack in the middle of the night. Bad part: cookies with icing not good for shedding that baby weight!
All in all, I’ve learned more in the past 11 ½ weeks than in my 4 years of college. My precious Norah Boo is going on 3 months and is the light of our lives. We also LOVE Honey Boo Boo…#hotmess.

Check Chase’s facebook and my twitter/instagram for updated pictures.

Until we meet again…

Hello World. I'm Norah.

Well hi there. I'm Norah Francis.

I'm sure you are wondering how all of this went down. (My arrival, not how I got in my Mommy's tummy...talk to your parents about that one. I can't wait to ask mine!)

I have heard my Mom saying for weeks "I have got to blog!" which I thought meant all the funny dances she does to get me to laugh. Sorry Mom, Dad got the first laughing picture without "blogging" while you were at happy hour. (Ahem...Mom of the Year...)

Mommy: Hey there Norah Boo! In my defense, Mommy needed a little afternoon out with the girls after 10 plus months! I was back home in no time!

Anyway...let me take you on the exciting adventure of My Big Debut.

Sunday, July 1st (Mommy's 27th Birthday) around 9pm, we all checked into the hospital.

My Mom got to wear this FABULOUS gown-gag. *I could hear her complaining for hours and getting texts from Hot Auntie Courtney about how gross and big it made her look. Get over it Mom, move on.*

Mom and Dad laughed all night, which made the heart monitor keep slipping, which then made Nurse Becky have to come in every 10 minutes to adjust it. Hence to say Mommy got a sleeping pill and was told to go to sleep. And Daddy too. Lame-o’s.

Monday, July 2nd, which was supposed to be my Birthday, Nurse Chrisha started the induction.

I was pretty cozy in there and did not see the big rush to come out into this Texas heat. Chrisha came in quite often to flip Mommy back and forth to try and get something out of me, but I was like “Ehhh…I’m good y’all.” Here is some of my fan club waiting on me:

Around 3:30pm, Mommy got bored and decided to get the epidural over with, which ended up being a breeze. She loved Nurse Carol and said she probably gets invited to all the good parties.

Tick tock, tick tock…people in and out of the room driving Mommy crazy-mostly the men... (except Theresa who gave Mommy an amazing foot massage)…little did they know I was not budging no matter what. I had plans of my own.

We make it to 9:30pm; Dr. Newton and Nurse Becky are like “Whoa, Norah is just too big.” Thanks Becks & Jenn, finally they get my hint. All I heard while in Mom’s tummy was “I want a chubby baby. I want a chubby baby.” Then I get all chubby and she’s all “Why won’t she come out?!” And I’m like “Hey lady, simmer down now. I’m on my way and damn am I cute.”

Dr. Newton calls Mom from home and says it’s C-Section time. Nurse Becks gets Daddy all ready, then talks Mommy through everything that is going to happen. She was a BIT nervous…but then Carol got to come back and give Mommy some funny medicine, which helped. Here is Mommy and Me the final time before we got to meet face to face:

Before Mommy and Daddy (and Me!) knew it...we were a family.

So, for the past 5 weeks, I've just been hanging out with Mom all day: eating, sleeping and pooping. Mom will be back to this so called "blogging" soon, so just check my Dad's facebook for more pictures.

Until we meet again guys and gals,

Norah Boo

*Yes, my Mom knows her banner at the top is huge. She is working on it.*

It Seems Like Only Yesterday…

...I Started this Crazy Adventure. (My Blog and Pregnancy.)

I. Made. It.

Chase, barely. I think he has had about 7-10 "last hoorah's"...well, mine was November 5th, so Mommy is LONG OVERDUE. You are warned Gibson. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Chase and I sat on the couch yesterday after the Doctor called with my schedule for Sunday and Monday just in awe. I told him I honestly thought this day would never come and I would just be pregnant forever!

We head in at 9pm Sunday night (My Birthday!) and start the fun stuff early Monday morning, which will hopefully be Norah’s birthday! It’s our last night at home with just me, the hubs and pup. Crazy.

Here is a little trip down Belly Lane. We will post a final tomorrow night before we check in! The steroids I have been on have made me look a little "puffy", so I've been camera shy...I'm sure being 9 months prego in this Texas heatwave have nothing to do with it, right?

"Um...babe...sisters...anyone!"

13 weeks...look at that little bump!

15 weeks...total teenage FB picture...I was home alone.

20ish weeks

There are a few more floating around out there from more recent showers, parties, etc and I will get around to posting sometime...I'm sure the hubs and sisters have some on their FB too!

So, here we go...

The FINAL Prego Update (Hopefully!):

How Far Along: 39 weeks on Monday!

Maternity Clothes: dresses, maternity tops, leggings (You know you are due when your leggings are too tight on your belly!)

Sleep: up every 1-2 hours and sleeping on the couch, which feels amazing even though I miss the hubs and pup! The pup is back and forth all night checking on me.

Best Moments: Getting to spend time with my Mom, sisters and their kids almost everyday, our final Guls dinner before the newest baby gul arrives (Missed you Hillary!), the call from my Doctor that my blood work came back great and we are ready to rock!

Miss Anything: a smaller stomach because...The other morning when I was letting the pup out, the door knob swept right over my belly button and left a lovely bruise! (Yes, I know my tummy will still be “big” after she is here, but I am so clumsy and it’s so big right now!) Also, a cold beer.

Movement: She is pretty crowded in there!

Food Cravings: Food, Frequently. Just picked up 6 cupcakes from a sweet bakery in town for my birthday…and Norah’s! (I love a good sampler!)

Anything making me sick or nauseas: We have been making homemade fruit smoothie’s for breakfast (trying to get the hubs to eat anything healthy!), and then I will just forget to eat actual food. My schedule is so different when I am off school, so I start to feel a little woozy, then find the nearest snack and water! (or Starbucks Passion Tea!)

Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: pressure and tightness in pretty good waves

Symptoms: Sleepy. Hungry. Thirsty. Waddling. Just BIG and Ready!

Belly Button: It’s out and bruised.

Wedding Rings: Have been wearing my band for the past month...not sure when that sucker will be able to come off! Maybe August...

Happy or Moody: Anxious, Nervous, Excited, Glowing…well, sweaty.

Looking Forward To: The newest member of our Funny Farm and more Outstanding Adventures to come!

Mama Molly, Mama Molly

(sing it like “mama mia mama mia”) Thanks Emmy ;)

Good Golly Miss Molly…the nurturing one of our group. I remember the day she told me she was pregnant, well, she didn’t exactly tell me…

(This picture was at her wedding and no, she didn't tell me she was pregnant on her wedding day-it was over a year later!)

Picture it. Rockwall, Summer of 2010. Three days before we left on our road trip to Savannah. Sitting at her kitchen table.

Molly: “Well, I need to tell you something. It’s unexpected….” (while pushing food around on her plate and making no eye contact with me.)
Me: “Oh what…are you pregnant?”
Molly: “Yes.”
Me: Hysterical. Screaming. Tears. “AHHHHH!!!!!”

We always knew the first babe had to come from Molly. Court and I have always said she would probably end up raising our kids anyway. (Hence: The child leash-but Molly it’s Coach!)

I, of course, told her the minute my stick turned pink and my adventure began...

A letter from Molls, one of the most WONDERFUL and LOVING Mothers I know:

To Sarah: New mom advice

While I sit here writing this post, I have to admit that I have forgotten a lot about the first few months of being a new mom.  I suppose this lapse in memory has contributed to mothers having multiple children for ages.   While being a new mom has been the hardest job I’ve ever had to do, the fact that most, if not every, mom forgets the hard parts so quickly should give you some peace. You will get through it, and you will feel pretty damn proud of yourself.  You are going to grow so much as a person in the next year.  As cliché as it sounds, it’s totally true.  Now, onto some advice to help you through it:

·    Sleep when Norah sleeps – as obvious as this sounds, it is sometimes hard.  When you first get home, you are going to feel that you should accomplish something while she sleeps, ie load the dishwasher, do some laundry, pick up the kitchen, etc.  You are a bigger neat freak than I am, so I bet you will have these feelings too.  It takes a little getting used to the fact that for the first few weeks, your sole job is taking care of your new baby.  Let others do everything else for you.  When she sleeps during the day, you sleep during the day.  It won’t take but a couple of nights to really get into this sleeping during the day bit.  And I know how you love your naps, so think of it as getting to take several great naps a day.  How awesome!

Let others help you – as I mentioned above, let your family and friends do everything else short of feeding Norah for the first few weeks.  At first I felt this weird sense of guilt, like hey, you don’t need to go out of your way to do everything, I can do some of it too.  But the fact is that you will have been through so much the first few weeks of her life, that you need all the rest you can get.  Don’t feel guilty that others are doing everything for you; feel thankful.  You have an amazing family that is going to be there for you and help you out.

Ask other moms for advice – You will have a million questions throughout the first month, or throughout her whole life most likely.  You are lucky to have sisters and friends who have just been in your shoes.  Ask them anything, they are the best resource.

I could go on and on with this list (or maybe not..since I can’t remember most of the first month).   I just remember being surprised by the emotions I mentioned above (am I useless around the house?, why do I feel guilty?, etc).  So just know that you are about to experience emotions out the WAZOO and it’s completely NORMAL.

The Usual Prego Update:

How Far Along: rounding up 36 weeks, hers about 6lbs (give or take a pound-so we really don’t know)
Maternity Clothes: dresses, maternity tops and leggings/stretchy pants
Sleep: up every 1-2 hour, but can sleep solid from about 7:15am-9:15am
Best Moments: My nephew Cole has been taking swim lessons and telling me/showing me everything-it’s precious; getting Norah’s crib; seeing her sweet face on my last sonogram; knowing that 1 month from each day that goes by she will be here with me at home.
Miss Anything: ehhh…not really…
Movement: Hiccups and some kung-fu.
Food Cravings: Food…Frequently.
Anything making me sick or nauseas: too much sugar (I just ate a cookie too fast and not feeling great!)
Gender: Doc checked Tuesday…still nice girl!
Labor Signs: “pressure down there” and Braxton Hicks getting more frequent…crushed ice is my friend daily and like a miracle drug. I can't get enough of it.
Symptoms: Sleepy. Hungry. Thirsty.
Belly Button: It’s out and still weird.
Wedding Rings: On
Happy or Moody: Anxious
Looking Forward To: meeting our sweet baby girl and starting our new life together as bigger family!

Obsessed

Thinking about it, I couldn't put Chase's Man Shower invite up without showing you how precious my baby shower invitation was. I am obsessed with paisley,  any kind of invitation, monogram or stationary. *No, there is not a secret language written on there-I am new to picture editing and wanted to blur any personal info!*

Thanks to Court, Hill, Emmy, Molls, Meg & Kate for a wonderful shower!
It was PERFECT

Now, need to get started on the rest of those Thank You's...

We are Men. We Make Fire. And Bring Diapers.

This past weekend I threw Chase a little “Diapers for Dad Man Shower” and from picking him up around 1am with not-a-lot of beer or tequila left, I think it was a success! Thanks to Dean for the booze, Em, Kate & Court for helping with the set up, the Man crew for coming and for the DIAPERS! Chase’s shirt was a gift from my good friend and old boss Chrie (Trimesters Maternity) and he finally got his camo Diaper Dude Bag. We can all sleep well!

*Pop Pop wanted to put the toddler seat on the back of the bike for a photo. Cute picture BUT this is the ONLY time the toddler seat will be on the back of the bike. Yes, I am "one of those" Mothers*

*Diaper/Beer Cake made by Stephanie Kennedy*

While the guys played hangover golf the next day, Christi and I went to an open house/baby shower at the hospital where we will both deliver. I knew without the guys going with us what people would think…and they did.

In the elevator there were 2 other couples (husbands/wives) and us. The nurse/tour guide looked around and said “So, we have 3 couples joining us today on the tour!”

AWKWARD, but we cleared that up fast! Christi is barely showing and I am about to pop, so we were not surprised for people to think we were the hip 2012 knocked up couple. We explained that we were friends, neighbors, BOTH pregnant, but not “together” and husbands were not with us today.

All in all, great tour, met some precious nurses, good cookies and freebies!

Last but NOT LEAST, my little seester Lindsey Kay graduated high school! You may remember her from a previous blog when I seriously thought this day would never come. Lindsey is headed to Baylor in the Fall, and I picture myself holding Norah in the driveway, waving goodbye as Lin drives away...brings tears to my eyes every time. I am not ready. But she is and will be amazing. We are so proud of you little and know you are meant to do GREAT THINGS!

The Usual Prego Update:

How Far Along: 35 weeks; she is about 5 lbs and 18ish inches long
Maternity Clothes: maternity tops and leggings/stretchy pants...breezy.
Sleep: up 4 times per night every 2 hours like clockwork…getting ready!
Best Moments: A few weeks ago I ran myself down…fever, aches, high heart rate and blood pressure. I had not been resting enough and was overwhelmed with the end of school and all of the new baby goodies. Well, that ended up with me on bed rest for 2 days and Katie coming over to unpack EVERYTHING. Thank the good Lord Baby Jesus for my Mom and sisters. Emmy was out of commission for her tonsils, so it was Katie and Marmee to the rescue! They are amazing. I keep asking if they are all moving in after Norah Boo gets here…I’m not sure if they think I DEAD SERIOUS or kidding. I am serious.
Miss Anything: Frozen Margaritas
Movement: Hiccups and some kung-fu action
Food Cravings: Food…Frequently.
Anything making me sick or nauseas: the “birthing” process…still in the fetal position crying with a mix of my crazy/nervous laugh
Gender: Norah Boo Fancy Gul
Labor Signs: “pressure down there” and I really feel like her hand is about to come out and wave. (Sorry for being graphic, but that is what is feels like!)
Symptoms: Sleepy. Hungry. Thirsty. SWOLLEN FEET. I started crying at the nail shop because I did not recognize my own ankle. Chase will only let me run 1-2 errands a day now. Love him for it, but I am BORED.
Belly Button: It’s out and proud.
Wedding Rings: On
Happy or Moody: School’s out for the Summer, Babay.
Looking Forward To: Katie’s wedding tomorrow night in VEGAS! I will be watching online with my parents and some family friends. I know her and Emmy will look beautiful and bring me back awesome Vegas swag…right, sistas?!! Hehe.

It's a Baby Shower

*Said like Franck Eggelhoffer, Father of the Bride, Part II. You've got to watch this. Magical.

Here is our lovely abode at the moment and one of my shower cakes:

As I sit here eating my cold, leftover spaghetti (which tastes like heaven), I am so overwhelmed! EVER SO GRATEFUL, but overwhelmed! Two baby showers in one week: one given by my GULS (Court, Molls, Meg, Hillary, Kate & Emmy) and the other by my work wife Rachel and faculty at school. Now…I guess this is where the nesting comes in handy! I've done a few things, but waiting on some storage for the nursery to actually put stuff away. Good thing I will have all of June, a mom and sister off work, and a husband who shakes his head “yes dear” when it comes to organizing, then exits to the garage.

The Usual Prego Update:

How Far Along: 32 weeks-she is getting rowdy in there, almost 4 lbs!
Maternity Clothes: still a mix of maternity and flowing regular tops, all maternity bottoms, as many dresses/skirts as possible
Sleep: up 2-3 times per night to feel my way to the bathroom and shift the belly.
Best Moment This Week: Katie has done an AMAZING job on the nursery walls (see her FB) and TWO baby showers! I walk in there every morning, smiling and talk to nobody-well, I guess Norah hears me.
Miss Anything: Frozen Margaritas and allergy shots
Movement: I was right about having my own Sophia Grace in there! Always dancing/kicking/hiccupping! I got a cool video of her having the hiccups today-sister thought is was amazing, husband thinks its weird. Goof.
Food Cravings: I’m pretty open to any type of food…frequently.
Anything making me sick or nauseas: the “birthing” process…still in the fetal position crying with a mix of nervous laughter. Mom....
Gender: Got Pink?
Labor Signs: “pressure down there” which is fun to explain at school as to why I have to stop walking, talking, snacking, etc. and rest for a minute.
Symptoms: Sleepy. Hungry. Thirsty. Fussy. Repeat. (Am I a newborn? My family would have to say YES)
Belly Button: It’s out. Eva loves it. The husband, once again, thinks it looks weird. Can’t wait for his reaction in labor & delivery…once again, enter sisters/mom.
Wedding Rings: On
Happy or Moody: 9 days left of school…I’m about to lose it. Just. Keep. Swimming.
Looking Forward To: Shopping with the sista’s on Friday for hers room (I’ve already found the hot dog stand where I want to eat), Nesting, wedding/baby showers, last days of school...These are the Days of our Lives...

Hey There Serious Sally

I am literally so boring. I can’t sit outside and enjoy the weather due to my AWESOME allergies, so what “social” life I did have has now gone down the shi..I mean…gutter. On the upper, only 1 ankle is swollen at the end of the day, I have a lot of time to watch the Rangers and shop online. (The hubs only happy about the ankle and Rangers part.) The entertaining things that are happening I simply cannot put on here or I would never work in this town again.

I have had some requests for a belly picture. This is being taken into serious consideration. Maybe from my baby shower, maybe even turned to the side.

The Usual Prego Update:

How Far Along: 30 weeks…starting the HOMESTRETCH! BOOMSTICK!
Maternity Clothes: maternity tops, capris, shorts and dresses, cotton skirts, “regular tight tops,” TEXAS Rangers shirts (regular/tight, just FYI)
Sleep: goodness were people right about going into your third trimester-up at least 3 times a night for the facilities, blowing my nose or as Chase says “shifting” my belly. Mama tired. I know…it’s only just begun…(sung to the Carpenters)
Best Moment This Week: Fancy Nancy was in town, a great baby shower for Chase’s cousin, Amazon & ETSY orders being delivered (I have a serious problem. Chase wonders “Who is this ETSY and why do they have all of our money?!”)
Miss Anything: Just Frozen Margaritas this week…
Movement: This chick is going crazy in there! Rachel and I were sitting at my desk Friday and felt what was fo shizz an elbow/knee/huge bump.
Food Cravings: fruit and the husband’s burgers. I realized I eat a cantaloupe and 2 containers of strawberries each week by myself. #winning
Anything making me sick or nauseas: still thinking about the whole “birthing” process…*picture me in the fetal position crying-enter Mom and sisters*
Gender: It’s nice Fancy Norah Boo GibbyGul.
Labor Signs: Well, had to take a little break at the grocery store due to some “pressure down there”
Symptoms: Sleepy. Hungry. Thirsty. Fussy. Repeat. Allergies are a HOT MESS. I can’t wait for a shot after she gets here. (Liquor and Medicine) Actually, I would rather my allergy shot over some tequila even though they both clear up my airway, BUT we shall meet again Mr. Patron.
Belly Button: It’s out. And it’s gross. Eva tried to push it back in for me.
Wedding Rings: On and looking fabulous.
Happy or Moody: Emotional. I know, shocking.
Looking Forward To: Katie starting to work her magic in the nursery, Lindsey Kay’s prom and baby showers! We also can’t wait to meet the little Fancy Norah Boo! Our only requests are: a chubby bunny and red, curly hair! (And OF COURSE healthy!!!)

Soap Box

**WARNING: Pretty Feisty, Red is in a MOOD**

Well, it’s come to a point where I must get on my soap box and be my usual Smart-A self. (I’m on my soap box about 97% of the time anyway so…um….take care.)

IF YOU CAN’T SAY ANYTHING NICE OR APPROPRIATE TO ME WITHIN THE NEXT 3 MONTHS, SIMPLY SMILE AND NOD.

“Wow, those horizontal stripes make you look wide!”
“Girl, you’ve got a looonnnggg ways to go!”

News flash: I am growing a human inside of me. That does not mean all of my other internal body parts went away. There is going to be some shifting and (OMG) growth! I like chubby babies and my baby girl will be a chubby bunny-that’s all there is to it. I’m going into my 7th month of being pregnant, not 2nd week. And, I don’t think the math is too complicated to figure out I don’t have that far to go…the rest of April, May, June, then BAM! *If you need help, I know a lot of fun Math songs with counting.*

“Will you be Breast feeding? Yes? No?”

Really any sort of breast feeding question should be off limits. How we feed our baby will be our business. Why people think this is an appropriate question baffles me. Seriously, I am going to start replying with:

“No, Chase is going to take care of that for me.”

Or maybe even throw the dog in there once or twice.

The word “breast” is weird anyway. I know, I know, it’s a beautiful thing, better for baby, yada yada yada. I would just prefer NOT to talk about unless at a small dinner with 3 other girls (Ahem), or a small girls group on a patio. At the end of the day, it is still my boob, my baby will get fed, and all will be at peace.

Ahhhhh…much better…questions/comments/concerns about my sanity? Send them to Santa. He probably gets some doozies!

The Usual Prego Update:

How Far Along: about to finish up 27 weeks-baby the size of a head of cauliflower
Maternity Clothes: belly bands, maternity tops, capris and dresses, cotton skirts, “regular tight tops,” TEXAS Rangers shirts
Sleep: only getting up two times per night and have moved a fan right in front of me-gotta love that fun change into the Texas heat
Best Moment This Week: CLASSIC conversation with Marmee. Golden material for my SNL auditions. DYING to let her let me share on here. Another entertaining Guls birthday dinner for Auntie Courty. Me: “I’m hot, I’m full, I can’t breathe, my eyes never stop watering and my upper lip is out of control!” Gul: “Me too!” And a few other fun topics of conversation ;)
Miss Anything: Sushi, Frozen Margaritas, COLD Mexican Beer…homestretch.
Movement: Lots of hiccups so my belly is always bouncing
Food Cravings: M&M’s, ice cream, frozen fruit, my homemade baked chicken nuggets
Anything making me sick or nauseas: starting to think about the whole “birthing” process…
Gender: Hers nice girl
Labor Signs: some low pains that give me a little jolt-more stretching I am guessing.
Symptoms: Sleepy. Hungry. Thirsty. Fussy. Repeat. (Hmmm, sounds like a newborn.)
Belly Button: It’s getting ready to POP.
Wedding Rings: On, but not all 3 at the same time.
Happy or Moody: Sleepy.
Looking Forward To: Starting to decorate the nursery and get stuff organized! I am a “TYPE A” personality and things have to be put in their spot. Random baby stuff around the house is driving me crazy. (Yes, I know after she gets here it will be different, but I’m thinking I’ll be too tired to care.) Until then, I need some order people!

Hello, Hi

Well, well, well…so we meet again.

Nothing too exciting to report.
-Made it (barely) through testing at school.
-Reading book 3 of Hunger Games. Mind Blowing.
-Cooking & baking up a storm. (Lots of help from the crock pot!)

Questions, comments or concerns?  Send to the Hubs, my Mom, Sisters, or my work wife, Rachel. They are pretty top notch at reading my mood these days…or just shaking their heads, nodding and smiling.

The Usual Prego Update:

How Far Along: 26 weeks: Norah the size of a head of lettuce
Maternity Clothes: belly bands, maternity tops and dresses, cotton skirts, still “regular tight tops” *need a mystic tan stat!*
Sleep: Not too bad… only getting up about 2-3 times each night for the facilities or to tell the hubs/pup to stop snoring
Best Moments: Friday we got a special package-hers Easter basket/bucket. I thought until next year we could just use it in the nursery. I found it on ETSY. (click on ETSY for shop link)

Also, registering for baby girl! I think Emmy had more fun than I did with all the pink! Kate and I took Cole to the mall Sunday to ride the train. I have never seen him so excited-we were even going to ride it twice! Well, the damn thing NEVER showed up. Poor Cole kept saying “We are gonna find that train! It’s hiding!” So, hims ended up with a cookie and seemed pretty happy! Next time Coley-Bean!!

Miss Anything: Cold Lunch meat, Sushi, Frozen Margaritas, COLD Mexican Beer especially now that patio weather has begun!
Movement: Hers has the hiccups all the time! It’s so cute. My sisters finally felt her kick and Auntie Rachel felt her foot pressing on my belly. (Very magical, romantic moments if I do say so myself)
Food Cravings: Cold fruit, M&M’s, ice cream (Bring on the weight!)
Anything making me sick or nauseas: doing pretty well now
Gender: Daddy’s Little girl
Labor Signs: None, but need to start getting in shape! Pacing my classroom for 2 full days during testing about killed me!
Symptoms: Sleepy. Hungry. Thirsty. Repeat.
Belly Button: Um…is there a word for in the middle?
Wedding Rings: On, but not all 3 at the same time.
Happy or Moody: Really just depends on what I am doing and the crowd. I feel bad that I get so annoyed SO EASILY, but my Doctor assured me that is "tre normal."
Looking Forward To: Starting to decorate the nursery (Hubs and Pop Pop almost done painting!) Opening day for the Rangers (because I have the cutest shirt ever),upcoming wedding and baby showers, new episdoes of SNL, a 4-5-4 day work schedule the next 3 weeks, and Auntie Courty’s BURTHDAY/GULS dinner!
Best Comment: “Wow, my shirt would fit you so much better. It’s a large.” (Because my medium is obviously offending you. Have a LOVELY day.) *Once again, for those who know me, please sub any words with what you really think was going through my head during my fake laugh/smile/nod.*

Spring Break and Weekend Update with Baby Mama Gibson

Well Spring Break flew by yet again…I had a great time with my family and being able to rest.  All I could think about is “at this time next year I will be toting around my little mini-me.” So exciting…and scary!

Pop Pop Gibson and the Hubs got a great start to painting the nursery which makes Mama very happy.  (Then Auntie KK can start decorating!) Chase thought this was a very special occasion, hence the tuxedo t-shirt. ßsee link; it describes our feelings exactly.

On Thursday, Marmee, Emmy, Cole and I took Eva Kate to Sweet and Sassy for her 4th birthday! Then her and Cole did a little photo shoot around the mall..cheeseballs!

The week ended with an AMAZING golf tournament put on by our crew to raise money for breast cancer! It was such a fun day (even without beer for me!) and we were able to make a great donation!

How Far Along: Finishing up 23 weeks; "baby girl the size of grapefruit" (All of a sudden their comparisons are getting smaller...so I am guessing she is bigger than a grapefruit.)
Maternity Clothes:  Cotton skirts, some maternity tops, some “tight” regular tops that I ROCK.
Sleep: I can fall asleep fine (as long as I have not had liquid within the past hour or 5), but getting back to sleep is not going well. I cannot shut this brain off! And WEIRD dreams....
Memorable Moments: Chase felt her kick for the first time!
Miss Anything: The option of having Sushi, Frozen Margaritas and COLD Mexican Beer
Movement:  Hers just so busy! (Except when my family wants to feel her!)
Food Cravings: Cold fruit, muffins, hot decaf tea in the morning, cereal
Anything making me sick or nauseas: not a thing due to Spring Break!
Gender: Gibby Gul
Labor Signs:  Check back with me in June-ish
Symptoms:  Weather is changing, so allergies out the wa-zoo, semi-swollen feet at the end of the day
Belly Button: Any. Day. Now.
Wedding Rings: On, but not all at the same time.
Happy or Moody: ANNOYED WITH EVERYTHING. I mean EVERYTHING. I have to remind myself “Sarah, change your attitude.”
Looking Forward To:  Hunger Games movie on Friday and starting to decorate the nursery!
Best Comment This Week: "Are you sure there is just 1 baby in there?!"
